Reverend Miles Cook, a native of LaGrange, Kentucky, joined Park Hill Christian Church on September 13, 1993 as Senior Minister.

He is a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport, Louisiana and earned his B.S. in Secondary Education from Texas Christian University. Rev. Cook then enrolled at Brite Divinity School at TCU to earn his Master of Divinity. Rev. Cook has served churches in Terrell, Texas, Shreveport, Louisiana and El Dorado, Arkansas before coming to North Little Rock.

Rev. Cook is married to the former Trela VanHoy and they have two children, Laura and David. His hobbies include travel and sports.

Reverend Linda White joined the Park Hill Christian Church staff in August 1998.

She spent her childhood years in DeWitt, Arkansas, graduated from Hot Springs High School, and received a Bachelor of Music degree from Henderson University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

She has over thirty years of experience in music, education, and youth ministries in the United Methdist Church, and became a licensed minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 1999. Her main areas of responsibility at Park Hill Christian Church include Christian Education, Youth, Membership, and Evangelism Ministries.

Linda is married to our church's Music Director, Mike White. They have three children and three grandchildren.

Mike White has called North Little Rock home since 1959. He became Music Director at Park Hill Christian Church in August of 1999.

He is a 1965 graduate of North Little Rock High School (now NLR High School - West Campus). He attended Henderson State College in Arkadelphia, AR, where he earned his Bachelor of Music Education Degree. He has a Master in Music Education from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR.

He has worked part-time in church music since the Summer of 1965. His 40+ years of experience includes working with youth and adults in choral, handbell, and instrumental disciplines.

Mike has taught in the North Little Rock School District since 1978. In 2001, he moved to Seventh Street Fine Arts Elementary School where he teaches general music to students in grades Pre-K through five. Prior to that he taught at NLRHS - West Campus. He also taught in the Wynne School District in Wynne, AR for six years.

He is also currently the Manager and webmaster for the Arkansas Music Educators Association, an affiliate of MENC: The National Association for Music Education. He serves on MENC's Government Relations Committee and is active in public school music advocacy.

He is married to Linda White, Associate Minister of Park Hill Christian Church. They have three children and three grandchildren.

Irene Forbes is a native of Little Rock and joined Park Hill Christian Church as organist in the spring of 1989. She is a graduate of Hall High School in Little Rock and served as the accompanist for the school choir, just as she did at Forest Heights Junior High School. She received a full music scholarship to Little Rock University (now UALR) where she majored in piano and received a Bachelor of Music Degree.

Irene began her studies of the piano at a young age and added organ studies in junior high school, becoming the organist for Junior Church at First Methodist Church in Little Rock while in the 7th grade. She has also served as the organist at Oak Forest Methodist Church, Calvary Baptist, and St. Luke Methodist Church, all in Little Rock. In her capacity as organist at Little Rock’s Trinity Methodist church, she served as the accompanist for their 75-voice youth choir that toured and performed upbeat Christian music. Irene has one daughter, Christina.

Mary Beth Hamot became Park Hill Christian Church secretary in August of 2002. She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas but moved to North Little Rock at an early age and attended school there, graduating from North Little Rock High School.

She attends Central Baptist Church in North Little Rock and has been an active member for over 50 years. Mary Beth lives in Sherwood with her husband, Jerry Hamot. They have one daughter, Robin, and two grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan.

Libby Mathis grew up in Dallas, Texas. After marrying Glenn Mathis, a career officer in the Air Force. She has lived in Fort Worth, Texas; Spokane, Washington; Huntsville, Alabama; Taranto , Italy; Omaha, Nebraska; Jacksonville, Arkansas; Minot, North Dakota and finally retiring in Jacksonville, AR.

She joined Park Hill Christian Church in 1975 and held the position of secretary from 1988 until 1994. She has one son, Richard; two daughters, Linda and Diane; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
