Help Is Needed
Park Hill Christian Church is one of 5 churches supporting the Respite Care Center that meets at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church each Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. This ministry serves elderly men and women who need help or supervision, and are being cared for at home by a family member.
We provide a structured program, lunch, and an opportunity for clients to have some time with their peers, as well as a brief respite for their caregivers. In the process, we have a lot of fun! There is a devotional service each Thursday and Rev. Cook, Linda White and John Simpson have participated.
We have a waiting list of clients, but cannot serve them until we recruit more volunteers. Do you have some love and time to share? If you are interested, please contact Rev. Cook and he’ll be happy to supply you with further information.
